"Can't Tell A Lie!" with Linda Goss and Papa Ed Stokes

Linda Goss is an award-winning storyteller and author. She is joined by PaPa Ed Stokes, a multi-instrumentalist who has studied African percussion, Brazilian and Afro-Cuban music.  Together they share oral histories, family narratives, folktales and play-party songs from the African American tradition through an uplifting, hand-clapping and foot-stomping participatory presentation.  This taping was hosted by Jump Street at Midtown Scholar Bookstore in Harrisburg.  Jump Street tries to make the arts accessible to all and partners with foundations, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations and schools. Midtown Scholar Bookstore is a used and rare bookstore in downtown Harrisburg with over 100,000 books.
