"John Updike's PA" with Frank Fitzpatrick
A John Updike fanatic, sportswriter Frank Fitzpatrick has read all of the acclaimed author’s work and has contributed stories on him for The Philadelphia Inquirer and National Public Radio. Fitzpatrick's lecture serves as an intimate and loving look at the mundane world John Updike chronicled, illustrated by slides of the Pennsylvania places Updike wrote of so vividly. This taping was held at Albright Memorial Library, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and previously has featured lectures from such famed authors as David McCullough and Salman Rushdie.
