Tracey Matisak – Host

Tracey Matisak is an award-winning journalist with more than 20 years of major market television and radio experience. She is a frequent guest host on WHYY’s Radio Times. As show host for Humanities on the Road, Tracey researches the presenters and their subjects and facilitates audience participation at tapings.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Laurie Zierer – Executive Producer

Laurie Zierer is the Associate Director of the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and Executive Producer of Humanities on the Road. Since 2004, Laurie has been responsible for designing, funding and marketing new programming and special projects at PHC. The concept for Humanities on the Road originated with her and she works closely with Pennsylvania Cable Network to bring the scripts to life.

 

 

 

 

 

Dave Emenheiser – PCN Series Producer

Dave Emenheiser is an award-winning producer with 28 years worth of broadcasting experience with TV, cable and radio. He is Pennsylvania Cable Networks’ Series Producer for Humanities on the Road. His PA State Parks series for PCN is the winner of four awards. Dave works with Pennsylvania Humanities Council staff to select the programs and taping locations for the show. He also manages the taping and technical logistics.

Humanities on the Road is taped live by camera and audio operators from PCN. PCN directors for the series include Matt Hall and Doug Sicchitano. Also working on the series are editor Dave Koch and designer Jonathan Whaley.

 

 

 

 

 

Pam Shropshire – Associate Producer

Pam Shropshire is Communications & Programs Officer at the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and Associate Producer of Humanities on the Road. A veteran of the nonprofit world, Pam has 20 years of marketing, project management and program experience. For Humanities on the Road, Pam liaises with presenters and taping sites to ensure smooth and successful programming.

 

 

 

 

Kelly McNamara – Production Assistant

Kelly McNamara designed the Humanities on the Road website and manages the program’s social media initiatives. Kelly assists on pre-production, production and post-production activities. She is an intern at the Pennsylvania Humanities Council and a graduate student in Temple University’s Media Studies program.

 

 

 

 

 

Jennifer Danifo - Blogger

Jennifer Danifo is a Program Officer at the Pennsylvania Humanities Council. When she's not in the office running (mostly) book discussion programs, Jen can be found at tapings playing humanities paparazzi and chatting up the audience. She loves writing (this is her first blog experience!), Philadelphia and the Flyers.
